Prof. Xuemiao Xu

South China University of Technology

Professor and doctoral supervisor. A national-level high-caliber talent, a leading talent under Guangdong’s Special Support Program, the leader of a Guangdong Outstanding Youth Team, and the director of the Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center for Large Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence. He is currently Associate Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, and Associate Dean of Junde College at the International Campus. He has long been exploring the scientific frontier of “human-like progressive scene understanding,” overcoming bottlenecks in precise AI understanding in open and dynamic environments, with multiple achievements recognized as internationally leading. He has published more than 120 papers in top journals such as TPAMI and TIFS (80+ in CCF A/Transactions), and has led more than 20 major or key national and provincial projects, including 2 National Key R&D Program projects and 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects. He has received numerous honors, including the Second Prize of the Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked No. 1) and the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Society of Image and Graphics (ranked No. 1).

Main research areas: artificial intelligence vision technologies, multimodal large models, graphics and image processing, and their applications in intelligent transportation, intelligent manufacturing, and the preservation and transmission of intangible cultural heritage.

Prof. Shanxiong Chen

Southwest University

ShanxiongChen is a PhD in Computational Applications, professor, and master’s supervisor, and was a visiting scholar at the University of South Australia. He is a member of CCF and IEEE, a young committee member of the Knowledge Engineering and Distributed Intelligence Special Committee, a committee member of the CSIG Special Committee, and an expert reviewer for the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has presided over and participated in multiple projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects of the Chongqing Natural Science Foundation, and the 863 Program. He has published more than 40 papers in domestic and international journals such as IEEE Computer Graphics and Applications and Applied Intelligence, and has applied for and been granted more than ten invention patents. His main research interests include data mining and pattern recognition, with a focus on applying deep learning theories and techniques to the study of text in natural scenes and medical images.
